Photos About Nothing

September 14, 2010

This isn’t an exercise in minimalism per se because it’s not minimalism per se but instead an adhoc experiment in how little information you can capture/display in a photograph and still have a photograph.

What you’re looking at below are some results; I photographed a 99-cent sheet of white glitter out of focus with a flash.   From what you see below it’s clear I could’ve gone much further but on the other hand there’s always the impulse to make a photograph someone would want to look at and not just appreciate.  (Appreciation of ideas is fine, but if you can get some visual allure on the side, why not?)
