Small and Blurry

March 11, 2011

Here again are some equally old photos–snapshots of a vhs tape made in my soon-to-be-foreclosed family home with green cellophane wrapped over the camcorder lens.  Because I shot the original photos at night you see the old-school TV edge against a black border, and I enlarged the border to preserve the size of the original TV shot (3×4″ on a 4×6″ snapshot) but expand to a still-small standard print size (11×14″) that refers to a photographic history of precision as 11×14″ is a standard for 8×10″ contact prints made by large-format film cameras, the most precise and big you used to be able to get.
